Voice from people

I love being part of the Maito Dance group.

The members are all so welcoming and friendly and we enjoy catching up each week at practice.

The dances are achievable even for someone like me who doesn’t have a dancing background and the instructors are really supportive and helpful.

The naruko instruments we use in the choreography are noisy and fun.

We all enjoy performing at events on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane.

As a Japanese teacher, this is a great way to participate in a Japanese cultural activity here on the Gold Coast. by K.K

I enjoy dancing in front of an audience because it builds my confidence and through supporting each other we share the fun and energetic Yosakoi spirit towards everyone which makes the whole experience more enjoyable.

The best experience being a Maito member is when we travelled to Sydney at the end of 2013 to perform in front of everyone. I enjoyed this the most because together as a team each week we worked hard to learn each dance routine and to see people’s happy faces, we know that the hard work paid off.  by S.M

The most important reason why I became a member of Maito is because it is very valuable for me to experience team work and meeting new people through dancing. As we practice each week as a team, we eventually can perform in front of an audience which I think is the most enjoyable part of being Maito member. by Sally
